The British government says higher rates of drug-resistant infections could lead to 10 million deaths per year and cost $100 trillion.

Drug-resistant infections currently kill more than 50,000 people every year in the U.S. and Europe. According to a new report, drug-resistant infections  could one day eclipse cancer as one of the leading causes of death.
