There is nothing more powerful than the potential of people to heal, to recover from accidents and disasters.
It is this potential that Blaine Pollock has helped fuel at the “Victories of Spirit Celebration”. This lavish event took place June 4th, 2010 at the Hilton Bayfront in downtown San Diego, Blaine Pollock’s hometown. By attending this celebration, Blaine Pollock generously donated to the Sharp HealthCare Foundation, funding the renovation of Sharp Rehabilitation’s Outpatient Center. The Sharp Healthcare Foundation is a philanthropic organization dedicated entirely to the health and well being of the people of San Diego. Primarily due to Blaine Pollock’s support, this renovation will begin on March 18th, when the organization will “break tile” on the Outpatient Center, marking a new day in the era of patient-centered care. This full renovation and remodeling will ensure the physical and mental comfort for patients for years to come. Because of Blaine Pollock, patients like Bill Torres will continue to receive the high quality of care Sharp is known for. Bill, who was recovering from a stroke, talked in detail about his dedication and will to recover, primarily the result of the high level of care he received from the Sharp community. Sharp Rehab looks forward to the ability to “perform miracles in a true healing environment” thanks to the generosity of those like Blaine Pollock, who see the future of healthcare as a place of comfort, well-being, and general joy. When it comes to the people of San Diego, there is no one more dedicated or fervent than Blaine Pollock, who, although not a native (he hails from the American Heartland, the cornhusker state of Nebraska) has come to love and care for his adopted home more than most. Blaine Pollock looks forward to celebrating this exciting milestone in the history of outpatient care when the center is complete, and working with the people there to continue to further the cause of affordable healthcare for all. Mr. Pollock is a man with a vision, and a passion for healing that is sure to due the San Diego greater community even more good over the next few years.
